TAU KAPPA EPSILON q BETA ETA CHAPTER q MISSOURI S&T q FALL 2015 BETA ETA DATA T hrough an outpouring of alumni support, we have reached $1,150,454 in pledged commitments from 189 alumni. This is an incredible feat, which would not have been possible without the support of Fraters who demonstrate what it means to be a lifelong member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. Throughout the Pride in Our Past, Securing Our Future campaign, numbers have played a significant role. Some numbers you have seen before, such as our $1 million campaign goal. Others are interesting facts recently learned. It's amazing to see how numbers impact every aspect of the campaign for Beta Eta Chapter. 49: The number of fraters we still need to donate to the campaign to reach our 30% participation goal. Remember, at MS&T, Kappa Sig had 25% participation and SigEp had 30% in each of their capital campaigns. We know that we can exceed their numbers. $5,473: The average amount donors have given to the campaign. Gifts of every amount are greatly appreciated and needed to minimize the debt on this project. $41.67: Dollars per month for five years (a total of $2,500) to have your name on a prominent, permanently displayed plaque in the Chapter House, in recognition of your leadership gift to this campaign. Pledges may be spread over a five-year period to help maximize your support. 1961, 1975, 2003: The initiation classes with the highest giving percentages. They lead the way with 50% of members giving to the campaign. Congratulations! Help your class increase its giving participation. A gift at any level will make an impact! ∞: The symbol for infinity. That is the potential lasting effect of any size gift to the Pride in Our Past, Securing Our Future campaign. Who knows, perhaps a NASA astronaut, CEO, or even your child's future college professor might be supported in the Chapter House we called home during our college years. Fraters, we have accomplished a milestone for our fraternity. It is our sincere hope that you will be a part of these numbers that are impacting the future of Beta Eta. Join us in this effort by making a gift using the enclosed pledge card and return envelope. With your support, Beta Eta will have a premier facility like no other. Yours in the Bond, Michael McEvilly '78, BH615 Campaign Chairman mmcevilly@hess.com (713) 907-3160 B eta Eta Chapter has a long legacy of tradition and excellence at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Now is the time to step up and ensure that the tradition continues, and the key is alumni support, which is why Darryl Brinkmann '74, BH534 chose to give to the Pride in Our Past, Securing Our Future campaign. "When I transferred to Rolla, Beta Eta became my family away from home." Darryl was initiated at Southeast Missouri State and was glad to find a strong and thriving TKE Chapter in Rolla. He found himself united in a common purpose with the men of Beta Eta. One of his favorite undergraduate memories was the opening of the new house in 1976. "I was fortunate to join the Chapter when we still had the original Chapter House, a place that held so much history for us." Now, Darryl is excited to see the opening of another new house and a new chapter in the Beta Eta legacy. "I supported the campaign because I had a desire to make a difference. I was fortunate to join a strong TKE Chapter at Rolla because others who went before us were willing to make sacrifices. I felt it was time to give back to an organization that had given me so much." He encourages his fellow Fraters to join him in supporting the Pride in Our Past, Securing Our Future campaign. "It's time to give back. Capital projects like our new building only come around once or twice in a lifetime, and this is a chance to ensure that TKE retains a strong presence at Rolla well into the 21st century."
