OUR HISTORY
S
ince our founding nearly 70 years ago, we can reflect on
the important role Oklahoma Beta Chapter has played
at the University of Oklahoma. With nearly 2,500
men initiated and part of our storied history, the Oklahoma
Beta Chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity strives to
influence the lives of numerous men and develop lasting
friendships and experiences.
Oklahoma Beta has been consistently recognized as a leading
fraternity both on campus and nationally. Many of our alumni
have gone on to distinguished careers in business, education,
engineering, law, medicine, government, and other endeavors.
For all of us brothers, our lives have been connected because
of our involvement with SigEp. This common bond has
propelled our lives forward, in some cases to unimaginable
success. What we learned outside the classroom—that is,
through SFE—is incalculable. While we were in school,
most of us were unaware of how valuable Oklahoma Beta
would be in influencing and shaping our principles, values,
and lives. The ongoing development we received through our
fraternity—including leadership, organizational, and social
skills, teamwork, and character—has been integral to our
personal success.
Sigma Phi Epsilon has been a home away from home for
almost 2,500 Oklahoma Beta members. Now, as we look to the
future and strive to maintain our record of accomplishments,
we must band together as alumni and ensure the success of
our great fraternity.
