Suzie was born on November 3, 1930, in Iola, Kansas. After graduating from Iola High School, Suzie became a diehard Jayhawk and member of Gamma Phi Beta. Graduating from KU in 1952, Suzie moved to Kansas City to begin a short but rewarding career as a physical therapist. During that time, she met her husband of 55 years, Ed. In 1957, the family moved back to Iola. After Ed's retirement in 1984, the family spent most of their time between Tubac, Arizona, and their summer cottage on Lake Charlevoix in Northern Michigan. Suzie was preceded in death by Ed. She is survived by four children, Linda, John, Jennifer, and Hoyt; and seven grandchildren. ALUMNAE NEWS Carolyn Lehman Elfelt '60 and her husband, Mike, moved to Orange, Calif., after 30 years in Diamond Bar, Calif., where they raised their two sons. She still works and enjoys her four grandchildren. Carolyn has been out of touch with pledge sisters but hopes to reconnect soon.
