ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT COD FISH FRY $ 9 95 4pm til closing Parker, AZ - La Paz Regional Hospital an- nounces the addition of infusion services to the many services the hospital already offers. The infusion staff is dedicated to caring for patients with a variety of medication needs, with quali- fications to administer chemotherapy, antibiot- ics, fluids, injections, specialized medications and blood products. Two private rooms in the surgery building have been reserved to provide privacy and comfort Infusion services patients have their own separate entrance from the hos- pital and private rooms. "Chemotherapy and infusion have been one of the board's strategic goals for the last two years," said Norm Simpson, Chairman. "Can- cer patients see doctors in Phoenix, Yuma and Havasu. La Paz doesn't have the population to support a full time oncologist, but bringing chemotherapy here is a big step. Our staff can coordinate chemotherapy with the patient's doctor, and save a lot of travel time." He added in a somber tone, "Dr. O'Neal, the medical director here, cared for my father through his final illness. Having this service in Parker is going to take a big travel burden off many folks, who otherwise might be traveling three to five days a week for care." Paul O'Neill MBBS, M.D., oncologist, is the Medical Director for these services and will coordinate services with a patient's primary oncologist or hematologist. He graduated in 1990 from the University of Ireland, School of Medicine. Rhonda Conlin, RN comes to Parker from Sidney Health Center in Montana. She has 7.5 years' experience in oncology and in 2011 became a Certified Oncology Nurse. Rhonda will be handling the infusion cases that come to La Paz Regional Hospital. Patients do need a referral from their doctor to receive infusion treatments here at La Paz Regional. For more information regarding these services please call 928-669-7743. La Paz Regional works to enhance the quality of life of their patients, staff and community. It's a not for profit, Critical Access Hospital servicing La Paz County and surrounding California areas. LPRH has a network of inpatient and outpatient services, clinics, imaging centers and affiliations to create a truly regional provider of health and wellness services.
