lease join us for the 8th annual Beta Omicron
Reunion/Shoal Creek Shootout. This is the
first reunion scheduled with a home game and
wives and dates are invited. Please contact Steve
Parker '73 at steveparkerdentist@austin.rr.com
with questions.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5
4 p.m.: Gather on the patio of Shoal Creek
Saloon, 909 N. Lamar. Dinner and drinks like
the old college days, plus good Cajun seafood.
Calcutta anyone?
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6
10 a.m.: Practice balls and hand out hats at the
Lion's Municipal Golf Course, 2901 Enfield Road.
11 a.m.: First tee time for the Shoal Creek
Shootout. Select shot format with long drive and
two closest to pin competitions. There will be
plenty of hydration and cold beer on the course
and double meat cheeseburgers at the turn.
Around 5 p.m.: Slide over to the Hula Hut on
picturesque Lake Austin to reward winners,
enjoy cocktails and dinner. Hula Hut is less than
one mile away from the golf course, 3825 Lake
Austin Blvd.
Following Hula Hut, those inclined can
congregate at Steve Parker's house (just over
one mile from Hula Hut) and start both a small
bonfire and a fire to start smoking brisket.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Texas vs. Kansas, kickoff TBA. Bet we can beat
Kansas! All day long keg, margaritas, lots of lies,
and musical entertainment at Steve's house. There
is also a big Beta tailgate party (details above) by
the stadium for back and forth party options.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8
Goodbye brunch at Maudies TexMex, 2608 W.
7th St. off Lake Austin Blvd.
