2 Phi Sig Express something for the rest of your life." Dick makes it back to the chapter house about once a year and maintains close contact with several brothers, including Dave Eichenauer '62, Dan Franzman '56, Ralph Schowe '52, and Larry Faith '59. He will often see them at Purdue sporting events. Don Kuhn '62, who passed away in February, was also one of his closest friends while in the house. Dick has seen the various repairs and updates to the chapter house over the years but notes that not a lot has truly changed. "We do need a new chapter house," he says. "I was an active in there in late '50s, and it was old then. It looks the same back then as it does now." After college, Dick had a long career in the Army Corps of Engineers until the mid-'90s. He worked construction with contractors in the Ohio River area. Now, Dick and his family own 27 KFC franchises and are active in them. Dick and his wife, Alice, live in Borden, Indiana. They have two children: son, Rick, and daughter, Kimra. In his free time, Dick loves to follow sports. He tries to make it to all the home Purdue football games. He and Kimra enjoy fantasy football. Dick can be reached at richard@ajskfc.com. Remembering the Good Times (Continued from page 1) PHI SIGMA KAPPA REMEMBERS DON KUHN '61 D elta Triton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa lost one of its most valued and loyal brothers with the passing of Don Kuhn '61 on February 6, 2015, due to a brain tumor. Don, pin #420, graduated from Purdue in 1961. From the time he pledged our fraternity and for his entire life as a proud alumnus, he worked tirelessly in many different roles. Through each of these positions, Don made sure that whatever the job or project was, it was going to be done right. Don gave generously of his time, talents, and treasure. Don's devotion to Phi Sigma Kappa and to Purdue University is without peer. He never forgot his roots as a country kid from southern Indiana, even while serving as the CEO of a very successful retirement and financial planning company. Most of all, he was proud of his family: wife, Sue, two daughters, and four grandsons. You could not talk very long with Don without him bringing up the need for a new chapter house for our fraternity. He felt a personal responsibility for the safety of the brothers living in the chapter house and, especially in recent years, was on a mission to see to it that a new house would be built. Unfortunately, Don did not see his dream come to fruition. His energy and knowledge will be missed, but the groundwork he has laid is being put to good use. Rest in peace, brother Don Kuhn. Perhaps now the rest of us can join in brotherhood and help to see to it that his dream becomes reality.
