PARKS BUILDING SUPPLY & INTERIORS Phone 910.483.8194 | parksbuildingsupply.com Visit our award winning home design gallery Lorraine Mohler grew up believing she could do anything. A Fayetteville native, she moved back to the community in 2006 from South Carolina where she worked in real estate with her older brother who was a builder and developer. Soon after her arrival, she began flipping houses and doing 99 percent of the work herself. She also began building homes and in her first year, she built 12 homes and sold them all. Yes, she believed she could do anything, so she did. Later, she took on the huge endeavor of build- ing apartment complexes. Her son Jacob Andrews joined her team after graduating from USC Upstate and is the commercial superintendent for these projects. Lorraine developed Highland Pointe and the Palms at Summer Grove. Her current largest project is Gardner Park, a 78 unit town home devel- oped on Fisher Rd. Not only is Lorraine a Builder and Developer, she is also the owner of Andrews Concrete. She owes her success to "being smart enough to hire people smarter than herself". On top of that, she has an- other strong woman beside her, her sister Bonnie Fields, who is the controller for all of her companies. McKee Homes builds new homes and develops neighborhoods in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, Pinehurst, Raleigh and Wilm- ington areas of Eastern North Carolina. McKee Homes was recog- nized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by Inc. magazine. Po- sitioned at No. 562 in the 2014 Inc. 5000, McKee Homes is also ranked No. 13 in the state of North Carolina. One of the reasons for their success is their intelligently designed open floor plans which include many fea- tures that make their homes more liv- able and functional, especially from a woman's perspective, while main- taining an elegant look and feel. McKee Homes has neighborhoods suited for almost any lifestyle with simple neighborhoods starting in the high $100's for first-time home- buyers and families on a budget, to mid-range family friendly neighbor- hoods starting in the low $200's with a pool and clubhouse, to golf club communities with luxury amenities such as golf, tennis, swimming and more in the mid $300's. They're a family owned business who believes in doing the right thing. Upon founding McKee Homes, Executive Officers Pat and Mike McKee established the Joe McKee Memorial Alzheimer's Fund in memory of their father. A percentage of every new home sale goes into this fund to support Alzheimer awareness, care and research. In addition, McKee Homes recently worked with HelpingAHero.org to build an adapted home with special features to accommodate a wound- ed veteran at Legacy Lakes in Aberdeen, NC. One of the few home build- ers in North Carolina experienced with the Specially Adapted Housing guidelines, processes and additional inspections, McKee Homes has the ability to design and construct adaptive floor plans for the physically disabled, including wounded veterans and aging retirees.
