66 | Winter • 2009 Callahan & McCabe Meagan Callahan and Michael McCabe August 22, 2009 Meagan and Michael were introduced by Meagan's best friend. At the time, Meagan was a student at East Carolina University and Michael was ser ving in the Army. The couple is currently living in Charlotte, but hope to return to the Fayetteville area soon. The couple has happy memories of their wedding in Wilmington, which took place in a church, but offered the oppor tunity for some beachside photos at the reception, held at The Bluewater Water front Grill. - Photo cour tesy of Dennis Chambers, CKM Photographic McMillan & Murphy Jackie McMillan and Rick Murphy April 25, 2009 Rick and Jackie became engaged on a vacation trip to St. Lucia in June, 2007. In planning their April 2009 wedding, the couple decided to wed at the Shell Island Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, and have only family in attendance. They wrote their own vows and united their families with a traditional sand ceremony, which involves family members adding vials of sand to a larger container, thereby blending the families completely. Jackie Murphy is a physical therapist and Rick Murphy is a Cumberland County Deputy Sheriff. The couple is residing in the Fayetteville area. Brockett & Sessoms Eleana Brockett and Brian Sessoms June 6, 2009 Eleana and Brian met while attending South View High School in Fayetteville. They reunited when Brian was a sophomore at NC State and Eleana was a freshman at East Carolina University and the rest, as they say, is history. They married in June at Hay Street United Methodist Church. The couple currently resides in Raleigh.
