KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY page 3 A s the "A" President of the Kansas State Chapter, it gives me great pleasure to share with you all the ways in which our chapter has taken steps forward during the 2014- 2015 school year. We were fortunate to send six undergraduate brothers to the 59th Delta Chi International Convention. We returned to Manhattan with new perspectives and a strong sense of pride. Our chapter advisor, Aaron Otto '98, was reelected as the international treasurer and our chapter was the recipient of an Award of Excellence, an honor only given to eight chapters internationally. MEMBERSHIP We gave a great deal of time and attention to recruitment this year. We experienced significant growth through the addition of our fall and spring associate member classes. We stand at 76 members strong, but still have hopes for another successful recruitment period this fall, as we had nine members graduate this spring. ACADEMICS We are proud to earn our third consecutive top 10 GPA ranking among the 25 fraternities at KSU. With the help of faculty advisor, Russ Murdock, and scholarship chairman, Cameron Jurgens '18, several new academic initiatives have been implemented, including study hours for associate members and increased requirements for members on academic probation. PHILANTHROPY With the success of four philanthropy events, we raised nearly $2,500 to go to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Our Delt Cocoa event, March Madness Challenge, Fish Fry, and Dunk a Delta Chi all raised funds for the V Foundation. The year was filled with enjoyable and successful events that allowed us to give back to the community and make a difference. CHAPTER ACTIVITIES It seems as though the Kansas State Chapter had a social commitment almost every weekend this past semester. We proudly hosted our moms for our annual Mom's Day Auction, with over $4,000 raised and all proceeds supporting scholarships and chapter activities. We also participated in Greek Week, chapter retreats, brotherhood events, and events with other Greek organizations. We proudly ended the semester by hosting the Regional Leadership Conference. We welcomed over 200 Delta Chis from the Midwest to Manhattan and strengthened our leadership skills as a community. In the coming months, we hope to continue growing and developing men into great Delta Chis. Thank you all for your continued support as we make tremendous strides as a chapter. If you are ever in the Manhattan area, feel free to stop by the house and say hello. You are always welcome! Fraternally, Davis Millard '17, "A" President dmillard@ksu.edu Brothers Make Tremendous Strides as a Chapter in 2014-2015 The Delta Chi brotherhood grows on the spring retreat. Brothers welcome their mothers for the annual Mom's Day Auction. The Iota member class organizes a successful philanthropy event, Dunk a Delta Chi.
