Funeral 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grand- child. Memorial dona- services were held at Campfield Memorial Baptist Church. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, she was born on March 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Oscar Edward and Cordelia Suggett Taylor. She was a retired CNA from Rutherford Hospital and was a member of Campfield Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jackson Jones; two sons, Harold Edwin Jones and Paul Edward Jones; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Jones Rhodes. She is survived by her grandchildren, Karen Dotson, Teresa Hudson, Kerry Rhodes, Heather Miller, Taylor Steinmetz, and Micah Jones; eight great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-laws, Karen Jones and Brenda Jones; her son-in-law, Ken Rhodes; her sister-in- laws, Gladys Breedlove, Iva Lee Burnett, Ola Mae Whiglon, and Bobbie Jean Wagner. MARY GREHAWICK EMERY Mary Grehawick Emery, age 95, of Rutherfordton, NC and formerly of Sarasota, FL passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011. No formal services are planned at this time. Mary was born to the late Peter Grehawick and Rosalie Zuk Grehawick. In addition to her parents, she was pre- ceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Mifflin Emery; one son, Glenn Ralph Emery; grandson, Dennis C.R. Hulse and ten broth- ers and sisters. Elizabeth was born to the late Julius F. Seiler and Helen Cleary Seiler. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by two sisters. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Daniel T. DeBow; two daughters, Christine DeBow Klein of Rutherfordton and Julann DeBow of Boone, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grand- children. JOHN "JAY" HOLLAND John "Jay" Holland, age 71, of Forest City, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011. Graveside ser- vices were conducted at Spindale City Cemetery. John was born to the late Archie Holland, Sr. and Hester Keeter Holland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Tommy Holland, Archie Holland, Jr., Bobby Holland, Frank Holland and one sister, Mammie Jones. Survivors include his wife, Jane Holland; two daughters, Lisa Hodge and Wendy Carpenter both of Forest City; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Daizel Holland of Spindale, Steve Holland of Lake Lure and one sister, Pat Holland of TX. He is also survived by two step-daughters, Glenda Short and Joanne Cogdell both of Henrietta; two step-sons, Rodney Cogdell of Anderson, SC and Michael Cogdell of Henrietta and nine step- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grand- mother, Cumi Ledford Greene; one grandfather, Noah Greene; grandpar- ents, James and Dorothy Curry and Aunt, Yvonne Puppatti. JANICE DENISE HENSLEY BYRD Mrs. Janice Denise Hensley Byrd age 47, passed away Friday December 30, 2011. A native of Texas she was a daughter of the Roy Grady Hensley and Mary Lillie Briscoe Hensley. TAMARA HAYNES DOGGETT Tamara Haynes Doggett, age 57, of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011. No formal services will be held. She was born April 2, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA to John Haynes and Marilyn Lyon Haynes. Tamara previ- ously worked as a social worker for Spartanburg County Social Services. In addition to her father she is sur- vived by her husband, James "Jim" Doggett of the home, one daughter, Amanda Doggett Duncan of Mooresboro, NC; two brothers, Steve Haynes of Boone, NC and Scott Haynes of Fayetteville, NC; and one grand- daughter. He was born to the late John Nathan Smith and Ellen Grace Givens Smith. John is survived by three daughters, Lisa Smith Enloe and husband Jeffrey of Forest City, NC, Leslie Smith Canipe and husband Scott of Forest City, NC, and Angela L. Kedic of Asheville, NC. He was born to the late Robert Lee Phillips and Maude Allison Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preced- ed in death by his wife, Angela Featherstone McComb. He is survived by one daughter, Jackie Maney of Bessemer City, NC; three sons, Robert Phillips and Joe Phillips both of Kings Mountain, NC and Richard Phillips of Mt. He is survivedby CHARLES ROBERT "BOB" LOPER Charles Robert "Bob" Loper, age 78, of Spindale, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011. He was born to the late Charles Carlton Loper and Mary Rhinehart Loper. Charles was a Vietnam veteran hav- ing served in the US Navy. Military rites will be accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Charles is survived by his wife, Peggy Joanne Loper of the home, one daughter, Bobbie Jo Morris of Mooresboro, NC; two sons, Roby Loper of Mooresboro, NC and Charles "Chuck" Loper, II of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Francis Loper of CA and Bill Loper of FL; two sisters, Shirley Nobbe and Brenda Loper, both of Indiana. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Memorial services were held at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. JEFFREY CURTIS SUTTLES Jeffrey Curtis Suttles, age 42, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011. Jeffrey was the son of Melvin Curtis Suttles and Ruby Lee Whitener Laughter of Rutherfordton, NC. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Roscoe Laughter. In addition to his mother and father he is survived by five sisters, Diane Conner and Brenda Toney and Teresa Gibb all of Rutherfordton and Toney and Teresa Gibbs, all of Rutherfordton, and Helen Champion and Susan Lynch, both of Forest City, NC; one brother, Jerry Suttles of Rutherfordton, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. bs, Funeral services were held at the Gilkey Church of God. Harrelson Funeral Home is serving the Suttles family. ALBERT "PETE" FORNEY WEAVER Albert "Pete" Forney Weaver, 106, of Union Mills passed away Sunday, January 01, 2012. Pete was a native of Rutherford County and was the son of the late Albert Forney Weaver and Ida Calhoun Lynch Weaver. Pete owned his farm in Union Mills and worked there raising cat- tle and other livestock. Left to cherish his memory is his daugh- ter, Betty Rhinehardt and husband Howard of Union Mills. A native of Cleveland County, she was born on August 20, 1962, a daughter of the late Jimmy "Mop" Padgett and Deniece Plemmons Padgett Shuping of Mooresboro. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Justin Owens of Charlotte and Scott Hardin of Forest City; one brother, Jimmy Todd Padgett of Mooresboro; two sisters, Shawn Padgett Cantrell of Mooresboro and Donna Padgett Jones of Spartanburg.
