The show is about to be on its third life, with CBS having pink-slipped it after its first sea- son, then changed its mind and brought it back for two more. Following its Season 3 axing, A&E Network stepped in and ex - pressed interest, and that's where Season 4 will run, reportedly later this year. The Poppy Montgomery se - ries is continuing elsewhere for a couple of reasons. Its studio, Sony Pictures Television, is of a "never say die" mindset where many of its shows are concerned ...as proven by the return of "Drop Dead Diva" to Lifetime after its ini - tial cancellation, to cite one exam- ple. That involved some financial concessions, and economics also are in play with "Unforgettable," especially since the show has proven profitable overseas. That also lets A&E continue to build on its stable of mystery shows, in - cluding "Bates Motel" and off-net- work repeats of "Criminal Minds," at a reasonable cost. He also did a guest shot on the classic series "M*A*S*H," though that show often was dramatic as well as comedic in nature, and he played the part of "Street Kid" in the 1979 Gabe Kaplan college-basketball movie "Fast Break." "PD" executive producer Matt Olmstead has said Nadia's abduc- tion and murder by a serial killer wasn't planned far in advance, but it served the recent crossover story that also involved "Chicago Fire." It also opened up a new and difficult avenue for Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush), who had been mentoring Nadia and is wracked with guilt over the belief of having caused her death by bringing her into the precinct.
