O ver the past school year, Phi Gamma Delta cemented itself as one of the top intramural fraternities on campus. Building off of a fourth- place Intramural Cup finish in the fall 2014 season, we finished second overall for spring 2015. Throughout the year, we participated in 17 sports, ranging from doubles table tennis to basketball. In the fall, we won the 3 vs. 3 Homecoming basketball tournament, which helped us in the Homecoming standings as well as the Intramural Cup. In flag football we were 3-0 with a point differential of +54 going into the playoffs before our starting quarterback tore his ACL; we subsequently suffered a loss in the first round. We also had success in a more obscure sport, with a second-place finish in the bowling tournament. The spring 2015 season was the most successful of the past five years. We won 4 vs. 4 indoor soccer, which was our second title of the year. The heartbreak this semester came in outdoor soccer, as we were one of two teams left standing out of 36, only to lose in the championship game on penalty kicks (Sigma Nu 9, FIJI 8). We had a great regular season in softball, earning the number one seed going into the playoffs with an average of 17 points per game and a differential of 10. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep our form and lost in the Elite 8. Obscure sport success of the spring: a final four appearance in doubles foosball. Overall, the 2014-15 year was a success with many FIJIs showing great strength and commitment in a wide variety of athletic endeavors. Fraternally, Tanner Buzick '16 FIJI Intramural Success
