Thank you! Campaign Status At-a-Glance As of May 6, 2015 $1.1 Million Goal $1,006,615 Contributed 74 Donors 854 Mailable Alumni A s a freshman at KU, John Lettmann '64 lived in a scholarship hall on campus. He didn't have much interest in Greek life at that time, but several of his high school friends went through recruitment and eventually joined Delta Tau Delta. Through them, he heard great things about the chapter and its members, which ultimately led to his decision to join his sophomore year. John's memories from Gamma Tau stem from creating a better environment within the chapter. "We set house goal for GPA, intramural sports, and an active social schedule at the beginning of every year. We had a great time achieving those goals. That's why I chose to support the Gamma Tau: The Next 100 Years campaign." "I want future Delts to appreciate their college years with a great group of men like I did. And they can't do that without a proper facility. The house needs upgrading to be competitive with other fraternities on campus, and that won't happen without the help of dedicated alumni. We all need to support Gamma Tau by whatever means possible. It's important that we continue this great tradition at KU for generations. I gained so much from my Delt experience and was fortunate to hold several leadership positions, which I believe impacted my post-graduate career. In order for current and future members to have that same opportunity, it's imperative that we give back to the organization that gave us so much." John and his wife, Vicky, have been married for 46 years. They live in Sanibel, Florida, and have three children: Susan, Mike, and Jason, as well as four grandchildren. Jason and his family live in Dublin, so John and Vicky occasionally travel to visit them. He also enjoys golfing and oil painting. John is the retired CEO and chairman of Malt-O-Meal Cereal Company. During John's tenure as CEO, the company experienced revenue growth from $5 million to $700 million. You can contact John at johnlettmann@me.com. GAMMA TAU ALUMNUS JOHN LETTMANN '64 PAYS IT FORWARD "It's important that we continue this great tradition at KU for generations."
