Campers honor their favorite Mason WILKESBORO — Each year, during the
music festival Merlefest, Liberty 45 rents their grounds to campers visiting for the music. It is the lodge's primary annual fundraiser for Ma- sonic charities. Many of the 200 campers in 100 tents are reg- ulars and have been for years. Over time, many have become friends of the lodge. For the past several years, several of the campers have been feeding the Masons and other campers a feast on the last night of the festival. They cover the menu from shrimp to steak to barbecue and more. This year, the campers gave Taylor Brown a
plaque. It was given in appreciation of Brown's "hard work and commitment to the campers."

ing to the children rides and views of the many bikes. After an enjoyable day in the clean air and blue skies, the riders headed off for their homes

Saturday breakfast enjoyed in Burgaw BURGAW — The Saturday morning breakfast held at
King Solomon 138 in August was a good success. Twenty- nine people attended. Eight were non-Masons interested in the fraternity. Three Entered Apprentices were also on hand. As always, Past Grand Master Bill Mathis gave a very inter- esting and informative talk.
