ΑΓΡ gamma crescent Gamma Chapter of alpha Gamma rho fraternity at penn State I SprinG 2015 ΑΓΡ Aims to Make Better Men Gamma Strives to Enhance Their Agricultural Assets I 'd like to introduce myself as the newly elected president of the alumni association. I was undergraduate noble ruler in 2007 and have served as secretary of the alumni association for the past several years. In the last decade I've witnessed our chapter enjoy great improvements to its physical property, as well as an ever-growing and active undergraduate brotherhood. As I step into my new role, I hope to improve upon those strengths while maintaining Gamma's reputation as the premier fraternity on campus. We must embrace our history and recognize the significance of our purpose: to make better men, and through them a broader and better agriculture. In today's evolving agricultural industry, Gamma Chapter is uniquely positioned to truly live up to that purpose, and we have plenty of events planned to help us reach that goal. The chapter looks forward to professional development activities with the college, Home Office seminars, and brotherhood trips. To maintain our strengths and still achieve future growth, alumni support is necessary. Please check mailings, the chapter website, or our Facebook group to stay connected. I encourage all alumni to contact me with questions, or to find out how you can be more involved in the future of Gamma. Fraternally, Corey Simmons '04 (Γ1504) Gamma Alumni Association President (814) 777-3786 / corey.simmons@me.com Gamma Passes the Torch Thank You, Brian "Greek" Sarris, for Your Years of Leadership and Service T he ΑΓΡ community would like to thank The Greek for taking on the great responsibility of alumni president for the last six years. Brian took the late- night phone calls, set agendas for meetings, and drove out 322 more times than can be recalled. Jon Schroer '90 (Γ1289) renovated the house, and then The Greek renovated the undergraduates: from about a dozen brothers in 2007 to 80 today. Whoever recruited The Greek in 1968 did a great thing for Gamma Chapter. We can honestly say that The Greek was the most hands-on alumni president we've had, and Gamma Chapter is all the better for it. Thankfully, he'll stay on as our vice president. His aggressive effort is ageless. We wish Brian and Stephanie all the best as they enter retirement and travel together, in search of whomever stole the tales from the Prince of Wales.
