Chapter Eternal
Dr. P. Thomas Maloney '59 entered Chapter
Eternal on June 7, 2013. He served in the U.S.
Navy and was an optometrist in Plainfield, Ill.,
for 37 years before retiring in 1998. Thomas
helped Voluntary Optometric Services for
Humanity donate glasses to third-world countries
for more than 20 years. He is survived by his wife
of 53 years, Jeanine; sons, David and Phillip; and
granddaughters, Kyla and Kaitlin.

Donald Henkel '51 has been retired for 24 years.
He has created photography clubs, chaired and
started archive endeavors for a 110-year-old
summer resort, and helped produce a 600-page
hardbound book of the resort's history.

Jerry D. Miller '54 and his wife, Sharon, moved
to a retirement community in St. Petersburg, Fla.,
in June 2013. After retirement, Jerry volunteered
as a receptionist for nine years for the AIDS
Service Association of Pinellas County. Sharon
has been active as a verger at the Cathedral of St.
Peter. Jerry and Sharon have two daughters, Myra

Indianapolis with his wife of 53 years, Karen.
They have two children, Kim and Jack, and four

Terry Noffsinger '66 moved to Indianapolis

spends much of his retirement on the golf course.

Lonnie King '70 attended this year's Little
500 with his pledge father, David Eberly '69.
His wife, Susan, is a professor in the School of
Business at Hillsdale College. Lon has adopted
the Kappa Chapter in that he produces their
full-color newsletter twice a year and is in the
process of raising $20,000 for their new chapter
room/study hall. He will also attend this year's
Northern Division Conference with them. Lon
and Susan live in Hillsdale, Mich., and have
four children: Aynsley, Austin, Greyson, and

David L. Hobson '71 is retired and assists his
son, Jason, in timber frame construction and in
dairy farming in Bloomington. David and his wife,
Sharon, live in Unionville, Ind., and also have a

George Bray '73 served on the board of
directors of the Beta Alpha building campaign
during 2014 and has enjoyed reconnecting with
many of his Brothers. "I urge everyone to make a
significant contribution to the campaign in order
to ensure its success." George and his wife,
Barbara, live in Paducah, Ky., and have three
daughters: Laura, Mary, and Molly.
Bjarne Henderson '80 remains active in the
railroad industry as the HR/LR director for the
South Shore Line. His wife, Cindy, a former Delt
Little Sister, is a registered nurse in Valparaiso,
Ind., where they live. They both love hearing
from other Delts who reside in northwest Indiana

Michael Brunton '83 enjoys fishing, boating,
water skiing, and attending his kids' and
grandkids' sporting events. Michael also spends
a lot of time with family and friends. He and his
wife, Shari, live in Collinsville, Ill., and have
four children: Meghan, Ryan, Collin, and Kylie.

K. Dirk Schnable '87 lives in La Porte, Ind.,
and attended his 33rd consecutive Little 500
bike race. He enjoys the event and visiting with
Brothers new and old at the Shelter every year.
Matthew Roemer '05 and his wife, Daryn, live
in Plano, Texas, with their daughter, Audrey. He
is the regional manager, central sales at Amazon.
