Alvin Weber '44 retired from the University of
Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He lives
in Saint Paul, Minn. E-mail: weber009@umn.edu
David N. Callahan '59 and his wife, Sharon,
have lived in Texas for 55 years. Collins Radio
Company assigned him there in 1959. David
worked in defense communications for 34
years, was an engineering group leader, and
retired in 1993 as a program manager in satellite
communications. Along the way he attended
Southern Methodist University for a masters
in engineering. David and Sharon have five

Frank Hermsen '66 is enjoying retirement
in Carroll, Iowa, where he lives with his wife,

David Fontanini '72 is retired from Trane-Ingersull
Rand where he worked as an application and
reliability engineer. He and his wife, Kathy, live in

Keith Springer '77 retired from UPS in 2009.

James Wright '82 and his wife, Donella, live in
Gilbert, Ariz., and have two children, Andrew and
Alexandra. He is now retired from his position as
director of bus and paratransit services at Valley
Metro in Phoenix.
Lane M. Crosser '85 is vice president/GM at
Sealed Air Corporation. His son, Ryan, graduated
from Kansas State in May and is an officer in the
U.S. Army. His other son, Nate, is a sophomore
at the University of Kansas, while his daughter,
Emalee, is a senior at Olathe Northwest High

Paul Gaffney '05 and his wife, Ann, are in their
ninth year as Iowa Xi house parents. They have
three children: Kristen, Aaron, and Dalton. Paul
is an agronomy sales manager with Tital Pro
and Ann works in orthopedics at the McFarland
