All alumnae celebrating anniversaries are contacted by ACW National Headquarters regarding their milestone pin if contact information is available. Those affiliated with an alumnae chapter generally receive their milestone pins via their alumnae chapter. If an alumna is not a member of an alumnae chapter or was not contacted by NH, she can contact Vicky Harrison, archivist/ ritual coordinator at NH, at vharrision@ alphachiomega.org or (317) 579-5050, ext. 234. A lpha Nu always encouraged its members to achieve academically, be leaders in campus activities and give back through community service," said Mary Ann Eggers Beahon '65, as she looks back on 50 years of membership in Alpha Chi Omega. "This guidance set the standard for my life," she adds. Committed to lifelong learning and community service, Mary Ann has served as director of university relations at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., for the past 17 years. She has actively supported the Delta Chi chapter of Alpha Chi at William Woods for many years. As an undergraduate, Mary Ann was involved when Alpha Nu assisted with the colonization of Delta Chi in 1965. Since then, Delta Chi has won the National Council trophy numerous times. Mary Ann has fond memories of formal dinners, candlelights, fraternity exchanges, attending football games in the chapter's seating block, gooey cinnamon rolls on Friday afternoons and spring break trips with sisters. She has been involved in several alumnae chapters during various moves throughout her career. "I was always welcomed as a sister into each group." Still active with Alpha Nu, Mary Ann was instrumental in raising funds for Alpha Nu's capital campaign by contacting many of the sisters who were initiated in the 1960s. "Many alumnae generously donated to the campaign, several of them making gifts to honor Mother B., the chapter's house director at the time," she notes. A number of these sisters have reconnected on Facebook through the AXO Sisters of the Sixties group. In addition to assisting with the capital campaign, Mary Ann is a new member of the Alpha Nu House Corporation Board. "I hope to help the house corporation board complete the renovations to the chapter house, maintain a safe environment for the undergraduate members and find new ways to enhance the Alpha Chi experience for collegiate sisters," she says. "Giving back to the chapter just feels right at this time. All of us gained so much from our Alpha Chi experience, and I want to make sure future members have the same encouragement and guidance that I received."
