Five new doves during informal recruitment session in January: freshmen Taylor Burris '15, Erin Kay '15, Natalie Jasinksi '15, Jessica "Jesse" Zhao '15 and sophomore Ashley Peterson '15 Chapter Stays Sharp Building Leaders and Incorporating New Programs eta Sigma Chapter has had a productive spring semester thus far. We were thrilled to welcome five new members during informal recruitment in January, hosted our annual philanthropic fundraising event, SKetti Dinner, on April 2 and participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program to give back to our community. BETA SIGMAS ARE CAMPUS LEADERS We are proud of our sisters' involvement in local and state initiatives as they raise awareness of Sigma Kappa. Sisters Katie Campbell '12 and Shelby Swain '12 are 500 Festival Princesses this year, looking forward to the merry month of May. Sister Lauren Switzer '12 continues her pursuit to the top as she campaigns to become Purdue's next Student Government vice president. Read more about Lauren on page 5. ALUMNAE PEN PAL PROGRAM LAUNCHED Working in conjunction with our Advisory and Corporation boards, we began a new pen pal program in late March to reach out to alumnae from all eras. We hope to learn more about our history and establish new friendships with our older sisters. Future excerpts will be featured in the Vision of Violets newsletter. VIRTUAL TOUR COMING SOON Alumnae who would like to visit the chapter house to view the recent renovations first-hand but may be deterred by time or distance will be excited to learn we will be working with the House Corporation Board creating a video tour of the chapter house. We appreciate all you do for Beta Sigma and look forward to reconnecting with you again.
