Box 95141 Lincoln, NE 68509-5141 Address Service Requested THE HUSKER SIG Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi at the University of Nebraska participating in numerous backpacking, canoeing, skiing, fishing, and hunting trips with friends and family. Dean W. Satterthwaite '70, age 66, entered Chapter Eternal Feb. 15, 2014. Dean was born in Evanston, Ill., on Aug. 2, 1947. He graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1966. He obtained a swimming scholarship from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he majored in electrical engineering. He also served in the United States Army National Guard. Dean retired in 2013 from an exceptional career as an HVAC technician. He was employed in his earlier years at Russell Stover Candies and then Gates Rubber Co. He became involved in a lifelong love with stereo equipment as a salesman in the 1970s and later with all of the new technology surrounding computers and TVs. Alumni News William L. Moore Jr. '38 has had a few falls and various injuries that have resulted in a hospital stay and rehabilitation. Bill says that at 87-plus years that is to be expected. He and his wife, Margaret, are holding up well and will celebrate 72 years of marriage in May. They live in Downer Grove, Ill. William G. Hofgard '53 was inducted into the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame, class of 2014, at an induction luncheon held recently in Longmont, Colo. Bill was married to Edna Hampton Hofgard, AE Sigma Chi Sweetheart 1952, who passed away in 1995. Bill had been CEO of Hofgard Insurance in Boulder since 1956. Now retired, he has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. E-mail: bhofgard@gmail.com Larry L. Jones '58 is very active in petroleum exploration in Belize and Colombia. He is also involved in the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. In the last two years, he received two significant awards from the AAPG and holds an office in the AAPG Foundation. Larry resides in Houston. E-mail: ljones1239@comcast.net Jake Jacobsen '59 enjoys skiing, golfing, and traveling. He enjoyed crashing the Sigs of the Sixties get-together in fall 2013.
