A native of Sumter County, SC, she was born October 14, 1928, a daughter of the late Phillip Ward & Ila Avin Ward. She retired from Cone Mills Corporation- Cliffside Plant & was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Cliffside. In addition to her par- ents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Simon Beheler. She is survived by her sons, David Beheler of Spartanburg & Wayne Beheler & wife Laura of Forest City; her daughter, Linda Beheler Willis & hus- band Ronnie of Cliffside; her sisters, Inez Fleming of Sumter, SC & Louise Butler of Columbia, SC; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren &d 5 great- great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dale Welch officiating. Burial followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. KYLE ORION BRITTAIN Kyle Orion Brittain, age 16, of Wedgefield, SC passed away on April 1, 2015 at his home. Survivors include his father Raymond Kyle Brittain, mother Reanna MacDougall, sister Chloe Hardin, half-sister Kayleigh Brittain, half-sister Gracie MacDougall, half-sis- ter Maggie MacDougall, grandparents Bob & Sheryl Smith, great grandparents Joyce S. Wilson, great grandparents Reba & Don Mode, aunt Gina Coggins & uncle Clint, cousins Brady, Chase, & Kynsleigh Coggins. Graveside services were held at Eternal Hills, with the Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. Crowe's Mortuary is serving the family. MARGARET ADDIE TONEY JONAS Margaret Addie Toney Jonas, age 86, formerly of Cherryville passed away April 2, 2015. Mrs. Jonas was born July 1, 1928 in Rutherford County and was a daugh- ter of the late Lorenzo Yates Toney and Lona McFarland Toney. She was a graduate of Sunshine High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Cherryville, NC for 50 years. She retired from Blackwelder Textiles, Cherryville, NC in December of 1992 after 18 years of service as a yard inspector. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jonas. She is survived by her son, Timothy Ralph Jonas and wife, Sarah of Belmont, NC; Brothers Forest Toney and wife Nancy of Bostic, NC; Hubert Toney and wife Rita, Kings Mountain, NC; three sisters, Ruth Newton and husband Alvin of Bostic, NC, Nell Toney Earley of Forest City, NC and Barbara Toney Toms and husband John of Shelby. There are also two granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Jonas of Charleston, SC; and Michelle Jonas Espinosa, of Santa Fe Springs, CA; and three great grandchil- dren. A funeral service was held in the First Baptist Church, Cherryville, NC, with the Reverend Dr. Vince D. Hefner and Reverend Ivan R. Davis officiating. Interment fol- lowed at Cherryville City Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, NC for their compassion and diligence in the care given to Ms. Jonas. The Padgett and King Mortuary of Forest City is in charge of the arrange- ments. RHONDA INGLE JARRELL Rhonda Ingle Jarrell, age 60 of Forest City passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was born September 13, 1954 in Rutherford County and is the daughter of Christine Phillips Ingle of Forest City and the late Dean Ingle. Rhonda had a love for chil- dren and was the Owner and operator of Winnie the Pooh Daycare Center in Forest City for many years and in later years cared for children in her home. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church which later became Crestview Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member. Rhonda served as pia- nist for the church for many years and was an original member of the Gloryland Singers. She had served on the Board of Directors for the Forest City Little League as well as the Callison Recreation Board for the Town of Forest City. In addition to her moth- er, she is survived by her husband, Larry Phillip Jarrell, a daughter, Brandi Jarrell Holland and hus- band Kevin Lee Holland, two sons, Chad Phillip Jarrell and Chance Lee Jarrell and wife Amanda Cooper Jarrell all of Forest City, a brother, Randy Dean Ingle and wife Bebe of Forest City. There are also five grandchildren, Bryson Jarrell, Brayden Jarrell, Alayna Holland, Brook Jarrell, and Cooper Jarrell. Funeral services were held in the Crestview Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt, and Reverend Dr. Mack Tester officiating. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. MAXINE HUDLOW JOLLEY Maxine Hudlow Jolley, age 75, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Saturday April 4, 2015 with her hus- band and daughter by her side. Maxine had fought a long and courageous bat- tle with cancer. She was a native of Rutherford County and a graduate of Gardner Webb University, was a retired lab tech in the textile industry and was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Lillie Mae Smith Hudlow, sisters Lorene Lovelace, Arzie Cook, Lucy Hudlow, Elanor Hudlow and brother Roy Hoyle Hudlow. Left to cherish her mem- ory is her husband of 57 years, Don Jolley; daugh- ter Tamara Oxendine of Lake Lure, son Donnie Jolley of the home; grand- children, Ariel Oxendine of Lake Lure, Josh Oxendine of Austin, Tx and Melody Oxendine of Lake Lure; a sister Brenda Dalton and husband Troy of Forest City; two brothers, Hayden Hudlow and wife Ethel of Forest City and Andy Hudlow of Orangeburg, SC along with a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at Smith Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043. Crowe's Mortuary is serving the family. MRS. MARGARET JACQUELINE SMITH ELMS M r s . M a r g a r e t Jacqueline Smith Elms age 83 of Rutherfordton went home to be with The Lord on Saturday April 4, 2015. Margaret was a daugh- ter of the late James & Ethel McCue Smith. She was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Rutherfordton & was a for- mer employee of Tanner Company where she worked as an inspector. She leaves behind a number of family members which include 1 daughter Sherry Richards & husband Wayne of Forest City; 1 son Orland Shane Elms & wife Mindy of Acworth, GA; 1 grandson William Elms of Acworth, GA; 1 grand- daughter Adalyn Elms of Acworth, GA; 1 sister Edna Robinson &husband Roger of Bostic. In addition to her par- ents Margaret was preced- ed in death by her first husband Johnny Ware, her second husband Orland Elms, 3 brothers-James Smith, Jr., Daniel Smith & Everett Smith; 3 sisters-Lily Taylor, Polly Crawford & Mary Jo Smith. A service celebrat- ing the life of Mrs. Elms was held at Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association 31 College Place Asheville, NC 2880. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Station A at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation Center for the love and care shown Mrs. Elms during her illness. Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family. BILLY TERRY Billy Terry, age 58, of Ellenboro, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015. Born July 30, 1956 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late William Terry and Sue Shires Terry. Billy owned and operated the Southside Motor Company for thir- ty-one years. He was a member of the Hollis Masonic Lodge #535 & the Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church of Bostic. Billy was an avid golfer & enjoyed building street rods. He was also a mem- ber of the Vintage Tin Street Rod Association. His favorite pastime was spending time in Pigeon Forge with his wife of 37 years, LaSondra. He also enjoyed movies & was a culinary expert. In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death by an infant daugh- ter; his grandmother, Beatrice Shires; broth- er, Frank Wood & sister, Susan Kennedy. Survivors include the love of his life, LaSondra Keeter Terry; 2 daughters, Angel Terry Arnett & hus- band, Jeremy & Heather Terry Thomas & husband, Josh all of Ellenboro; one son, Billy Terry, Jr. & wife, Ashley also of Ellenboro; one sister, Melinda Gossett of Mooresboro & one brother, Chris Sutherland of Kentucky. He is also sur- vived by 8 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jordan, Noah, Nathan, Kaylee, Riley, Colton & Tregan. Funeral services were conducted at the Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Colby Davis officiating. Interment, accompanied by Masonic Rites, followed in the church cemetery.
