Thanks to the help of Glen Switzer '88, our outdoor patio complex
was completed in October. Our new grand 16-foot, hand-built fireplace
will provide undergraduates with a place to socialize for years to come.

fter years of planning, months of construction, and the return of our
active Brothers to a new house a year ago, the Lambda Chapter:
Proud Past—Promising Future to Make Better Men campaign is nearing
its close on June 1, 2015.
Through your efforts, we have raised more than $2.5 million toward
this historic effort. A huge amount of thanks goes to each alumnus and
friend who contributed financially to the campaign, particularly those who
increased their gift from the amount they initially pledged. The beautiful
new home you have built will significantly impact the long-term vitality of
Alpha Gamma Rho at the University of Minnesota.
But even as we admire the finished product of our home, we must make
one final push to reduce the outstanding debt from the capital campaign.
With the campaign ending, this is your opportunity to have a hand in the
new Lambda house.
Your contribution, or an extension of the gift you have already made, will
play a crucial role in paying down the remaining $500,000 debt that was
incurred during construction. The gifts from each Brother will protect the
future of Lambda, ensuring that our undergraduate Chapter is not saddled
with long-term debt obligations.
Additionally, we want to be sure that your name is on the donor plaque
in the renovated house. All alumni contributing $2,500 or more will be
recognized on the plaque. If you have already made a contribution, we
thank you again for your generosity and ask you to review your listing on
pages 2-4 of this newsletter. Please notify us of any necessary changes to
your name. To all, we hope you will join us in this essential work.
