Desert Messenger Quartzsite's FREE Community Paper PO Box 3185 Quartzsite, AZ 85359 www.DesertMessenger.com For more information, email Editor@DesertMessenger.com or call Rain at 928-916-4235 The Quartzsite Police Department has been extremely busy the past couple of weeks and is experienc- ing a rise in more serious incidents, despite the departure of our winter population, including but not limited to several felony warrant arrests and assists to the Department of Child Safety with the removal of children from their homes. 3/14: Arthur Harding, 77, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Theft and Criminal Trespassing. 3/14: Lisa Harding, 47, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Theft and Criminal Trespassing. 3/14: Jeffery Horton, 29, from Dal- las, TX was booked into jail for Aggra- vated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Endangerment. 3/15: Michael Daugherty, 48, from Quartzsite was cited and released to a responsible party for DUI. 3/18: Quartzsite PD assisted the De- partment of Child Safety (also known as CPS) with the removal of one child from the home of Amanda Carl- son, 34, and Glen Sisk, 56, from Quartzsite. 3/19: Steven Schiller, 38, from Quartzsite was booked into jail for an Active Misdemeanor Warrant out of Quartzsite Magistrate Court for Failure to Appear on a Trespass Charge. 3/20: Matthew Earhart, 31, Tran- sient, was booked into jail for an Active Felony Warrant out of the State of California for Parole Violation. 3/23: James Bonnell, 50, from Jerome, ID was booked into jail for an Active Felony Warrant out of Twin Falls County, Idaho for Child Custody Interference. His three children in his custody illegally were released to the AZ Department of Child Safety to be returned to Idaho. 3/24: David Warren, 56, from Ehrenberg was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License and his vehicle was impounded. 3/24: Quartzsite PD assisted the FBI with the arrest of Michael Zellar, 50's, in Quartzsite for an Active Felony Warrant for Child Pornography. 3/25: David Deherrera, 37, from Phoenix was booked into jail for Crimi- nal Trespassing. All persons included in this report from QPD are innocent of crimes until proven guilty in a court of law.
