For woodworkers like Booth and Dean, developing the skill and expertise to mimic the unique flourishes and remarkable detail early American or European artisans incorporated into their work is the real thrill. The process is their passion.

Upper Right: The mahogany wood comes from Peru in this intricately designed secretary with sliding dividers on the shelves of this 1700's reproduction crafted by Dr. Booth. This secretary is his most recently completed masterpiece with Newport carved shells adorning it. Booth spent a week at a workshop learning to carve the shells. The original piece this was modeled after sold in 1989 for $12.1 million.
