Epsilon Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Colorado State University Spring 2015 e Kappa H t House Board Takes Pride in EB's Achievements Successful Semester Paves the Way for Summer Upgrades E psilon Beta had a terrific fall semester, initiating 54 new members and receiving the following awards from CSU's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life: Chapter Awards • Top Sorority GPA: Spring 2014 • Excellence in Chapter External Relations Individual Awards • President of the Year Finalist Becky Lewis '11 • Outstanding Member in Community Service and Philanthropy Haley Cameron '13 • Sorority Woman of the Year Madeleine Sheahan '11 This spring, Epsilon Beta has pledged 12 additional new members, bringing the chapter total to a record 165 members! Fifteen active members and five alumnae attended the regional conference in early March. Kappa spirit is very high at EB! The House Board has been busy this school year, planning a renovation of the basement to take place this summer. The old study will be split in two, creating a smaller, cozier space to study and a new chapter council/standards room. The old chapter council room will be turned into a theater with a large-screen TV and tiers of lounge seating for movie watching, pajama parties, and other events. In addition, a new bathroom and a beverage bar will be built in the basement. The House Board's hope is that this once dark, uninviting, and little-used space will become a warm and comfortable place to be used and enjoyed by the entire chapter. Please see the basement plans to the left and contact me with any questions you may have. EB is a chapter for us all to be proud of. They are an amazing group of women and I encourage all of you to head to Ft. Collins for a visit. Loyally, Pam Maloney Wolf '81 House Board President (303) 537-5052 pamwolf7@gmail.com C alling all empty nester alumnae! Has your last "chick" moved out of the nest? Wondering what you are going to do with all that extra time? Want to volunteer with great personal rewards? Why not give back to your Epsilon Beta Chapter. Remember that special advisor or House Board member? You could be that special person to one of the chapter council members at EB. This opportunity can keep you connected with the younger generation! Not an empty nester but still want to be involved? We would love to have you, too! This year's chapter council has wonderful leadership skills, but they need the missing advisory positions to be filled. Advisors are great sounding boards when the council makes decisions. Advisors support them when they are up and when they are down. Contact Shea McQuaid Peterson '03 at s.petersonkkg@ hotmail.com to inquire about the following Advisory Board positions: • Marshal Advisor (Ritual Advisor) • Philanthropy Advisor If advising isn't for you, consider becoming a member of House Board. Contact Pam Maloney Wolf '81 at pamwolf7@gmail.com to inquire about the following available positions: • Secretary • Operations Committee • Architectural Committee • Development/Alumnae Relations Committee Volunteer with Epsilon Beta
