I
ndiana University's Pi Chapter, currently with 148
members and a fall 2014 GPA of 3.30, is a very
strong house on IU's campus. We had a successful
fall semester in which we held multiple brotherhood
events such as paintball and Beta basketball. We
recruited 31 new members and have already begun to
raise money for our annual co-founded charity hockey
game, Dropping the Puck on Cancer.
We were excited for recruitment beginning in early
February. We have high hopes for this semester and
are trying to surpass both the $43,000 raised last year
for Dropping the Puck and the $11,000 we raised for our
other philanthropy event, Faceoff for the Forces.
Already 51 undergraduate members of the chapter have
donated to Sons of the Dragon Club. This club helps
fund Beta events such as Keystone, which our officers
attended in late February. Our bike team has been
training hard and spent the end of winter break riding
hundreds of miles in Panama City Beach, Florida, in preparation for Indiana's annual Little 500
bike race. We wish them the best of luck as the race approaches.
Yours in _kai_,
