La Paz County Board of Supervisors will hold a Work Session, open to the public, on Wednesday, March 4 at 10 am at the Board Meeting Room, located at 1108 Joshua Avenue, Parker, Arizona. Arizona Peace Trails: Pre- sentation by John Sanders, www.arizonapeacetrail.com The Arizona Peace Trail is a new loop system of off-highway trails from Yuma to Bullhead City. Members from the Bouse Ghost Riders and Quartzsite RunRiders ATV Clubs planned a 6-day adventure on the new 733-mile trail sys- tem last week. The trail utilizes existing rails and roads in La Paz, Mohave, and Yuma Counties. Along the trail riders will enjoy a variety of terrain challenges with elevations ranging from 170 ft. to 7070 ft. Allison Hughes said, "Each leg gives a completely different variety of eco sys- tems, scenery, landscapes and an awe- some array of terrain-requiring ranging levels of rider skills." She said, "Going for the day or for several days, you will be anxious to do more as the scenery is absolutely breathtaking!" Still in its infant stages, development of Arizona Peace Trail (APT) is the re- sult of cooperative planning and work- ing together of representatives from local and area OHV clubs, city, bounty, state and federal agencies and busi- nesses to make it happen. Arizona Peace Trail updates Quartzsite - Jonathan David McElwain, age 15 son of John and Janet McElwain, was awarded rank of Eagle Scout on December 17, 2014. A founding member of Troop 116 here in Quartzsite, the Chartered Organization is the local Quartzsite LDS Church. His service project was the Beautifi cation in the Desert Ordinance area in front of Quartzsite Town Hall, completed in July of 2014. He will be receiving his Eagle Scout Award in a Court of Honor Saturday, March 28, 2015, 4:30 pm to held at the Quartzsite LDS Church, 455 Riggles Road. Friends and Community are cordially invited.
