QPD Arrest Report The following arrests were made by Quartzsite Police Department JANUARY 27 - FEBRUARY 12, 2015 2/8: Nicholas Holder, 24, from Parker, AZ was cited and released for Reckless Driving during an Agency Assist to Parker Police Department during a DUI Enforcement Detail. 2/8: Mary Dunn, 22, from San Diego, CA was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License. 2/12: David Curry, 39, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Driving with a Mandatory Insurance Suspension. 2/12: Mark McClure, 51, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License. He had been missing for eight long months after last being seen at his residence on Riggles Road on May 18, 2014. His friends and co-workers at the local Family Dollar store sounded the alarm that Eric had not showed up for work as sched- uled. Sadly, on January 20, 2015, Eric's remains were found by hikers in the Scaddan Wash area located east to south-east from the Town of Quartzsite. The cause of death is still under investigation. Eric was born February 11, 1955, in Roseburg, Oregon to Don and Alyce Stapleton. He is survived by his moth- er, Alyce Stapleton of Salem, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Rebecca (Ruby) Stapleton of McMinnville, Oregon; granddaughter, Peyton; Brandon's mother and the Love of Eric's life, Sheree (Greenleaf) Stapleton; sisters, Valerie Vandecar of Tucson, Arizona and Lynne Staple- ton-Ybarguen of Salem, Oregon; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Cheryl (Morris) Stapleton of Sheridan, Oregon; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Steinmetz, Hilary, Peter, and Jacob Rose; and Jessica, Christopher and Elizabeth Stapleton. He is pre-de- ceased by his father Don Stapleton. The Family would especially like to thank the Community of Quartzsite for their continued diligence in locating Eric. We also thank Quartzsite Police Department, in particular Offi cer Horatio Tanakeyowma, for his tenac- ity, support, and patience anytime, all the time, day and night. Eric was loved by many, and those who knew him remember his kindness and easy smile. We will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life for Eric will be held on February 15, 2015 in Salem, Oregon. Life After Loss: Hospice of Havasu will be leading an 8-week Support Group designed to help those who are go- ing through a time of sorrow. Group participants will be provided with the tools to help make their grieving process a healthier experience. Tues- day from 10a.m. to noon January 6 through February 24 at the Quartzsite Library 465 N. Plymouth Avenue. Pre- registration required. No fee, all are welcome.
