The total is now $34,000--not bad for a small
thrift store in the middle of the desert!! That is
the current able of money that has gone back
into the community through donations from the
Quartzsite Community Thrift Store. At a recent
board meeting, it was voted to give $500 to each
of the following--Quartzsite Historical Society
(Museum), Isaiah 58 Project, and Quartzsite
Public Library. Thanks to the generosity of the
community in donating items to sell in the store
to help raise this money, the store has been able
to help many local non-profi ts and organiza-
tions who are underfunded get some help to
keep their programs going.
The volunteers at the store work very hard to
get items ready for sale--customers who fl ock
in love the selection of reasonably priced items,
making this store a huge success. Donations are
always welcome during open hours 9 a.m. to t
p.m. Monday thru Saturdays during the winter
season, and going to summer hours as things
