W e are happy to announce that the Anchored in Tradition, Securing Our Legacy at the University of Iowa campaign has made great strides over the last several months, and we have raised over $643,250 toward our goal of $800,000. From our dedicated undergraduates making commitments to our class leaders engaging in a grassroots effort to encourage broad- based support from their pledge sisters, we are forever grateful to each and every one of you who has helped us get this far. While we have competition among the sorority houses at Iowa, we know that with your help we can surpass the competition and have one of the finest Greek facilities on campus. To meet the needs of today's students we must renovate our historic home, ensuring that Tau remains an academic leader as well. With this campaign we plan to: • Renovate bedrooms to include beds, closets, study tables and chairs, flooring and lighting • Update bathrooms • Update heating/AC system • Update kitchen cabinets, appliances, and layout • Replace doors throughout, including main door with updated keypad • Install new windows • Replace flooring throughout • Renovate parking lot • Purchase new living room furnishings, lighting, accessories • Renovate study room We are asking for the support of sisters from every era to ensure our active members are provided the best opportunities at Iowa. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to give back to the sorority that provided us with a support system, lifetime friendships, contacts, social opportunities, and simply fond memories. Tau is certainly blessed to have the support of so many devoted sisters. To date, 165 individuals have made gifts and pledges. While this certainly is a great number by itself, we have to believe we can do much better given that we have more than 1,595 living initiates. We are asking every sister to make a pledge or contribution, no matter the size. Spreading your gift of $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 over five years is much more manageable on an annual basis, yet still makes a significant difference in the overall project. We understand that there is no end to the worthy causes deserving your attention. However, we are asking you to give this project due consideration. If you have not pledged your support, please take a moment to reflect on how your experience at Delta Gamma impacted your life and remember the lifelong friendships formed there. Now is your opportunity to play a major role in the success of this project! In the Bonds, Kris Beckwith, M.D. '75 Co-Chairman mbeckwith2@ecommunity.com / (317) 823-2626 Suzanne C.
