January 21, 2015 www.DesertMessenger.com 51 1/2: Darlene Hadman, 56, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Dog At Large. 1/2: A Juvenile from Quartzsite was charged via Juvenile Referral for Attempted Possession of Drug Para- phernalia and Minor in Possession of Tobacco. 1/7: Brunilda Montijo, 66, from Colorado Springs, CO was cited and re- leased for Speeding, Reckless Driving, and No Proof of Insurance. 1/7: A Juvenile from Quartzsite was charged via long form for Theft. 1/7: Amanda Nunziata, 19, from Hudson, IL was booked into jail for Burglary, Criminal Trespassing, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 1/7: Robert Koberna, 22, from Quartzsite was booked into jail for Burglary, Criminal Trespassing, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 1/8: Ryan Rangel, 22, from Quartzsite was cited and released for QPD Arrest Report The following arrests were made by Quartzsite Police Department JANUARY 1 - JANUARY 14, 2015 Threatening/Intimidating. 1/9: Charles Blackford, 79, was booked into jail for Threatening/In- timidating, Disorderly Conduct, and Assault per Domestic Violence. 1/9: Bobby Basinger, 59, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Public Consumption of Alcohol. 1/9: James Hughes, 67, from Bend, OR was booked into jail for Assault. 1/10: Murray Epp, 60, from Wald- heim, Saskatchewan was booked into jail for Public Sexual Indecency. 1/12: Joe Butler, 32, from Quartzsite was booked into jail for Assault. 1/13: George Casper, 55, from North Platte, NE was booked into jail for Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Instrument. All persons included in this report from QPD are innocent of crimes until proven guilty in a court of law. Chief Renfro honorably served with DPS for over 23 years before retiring from regular service in 2010. Chief Renfro rejoined law enforcement with the Arizona Department of Gaming in early 2011. Chief Renfro accepted the Chief of Police position for the Town of Quartzsite in January of 2015. During his career with DPS he touched nearly every facet of the organization beginning as a patrolman in Winslow to Supervisor of major Criminal Investigative Units. His service with the Department included assignments in the Highway Patrol, the Narcotics Bureau, Inves- tigations Bureau and the Intelligence Bureau. As a supervisory level offi cer, he served the Highway Patrol in rural and urban Arizona, Investigations Bureau, Narcotics and Intelligence Bu- reau with assignments in Gang Units CHIEF FROM PAGE 5 "GIITEM", Arizona Financial Crimes, DEA Financial Crimes, Violent Crime Apprehension Team "VCAT", US Marshal's Most Wanted Fugitive Task Force, and the Intelligence unit "IIM- PACT" Task Force. While a supervisor in the Arizona Financial Crimes Task Force, Chief Renfro's investigative group was awarded the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) sponsored national Choice Point Award for the best investigation in 2006. Chief Renfro honorably served in the United States Army as an enlisted soldier beginning in 1983 to 1986, and in the United States Army Reserve for three years ending in 1989. Chief Renfro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Manage- ment from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona and attended the Ari- zona Terrorism Liaison Offi cer (TLO) training program in Arizona.
