Our Proud Heritage
F
or 110 years, Beta-Tau Chapter has been at
the heart of Greek life at Baker University.
From our founding to the present, our
proud history speaks for itself through high
academic achievement and leadership within
the University. With more than 900 initiates,
the Beta-Tau Chapter has influenced the lives of
numerous men, cultivating lasting friendships in
the process. Many of our best college memories
can be traced back to our Kappa Sig experience.
While our Brothers have graduated to successful
and distinguished careers in business, engineering,
technology, and countless other endeavors, the
common bond of our brotherhood remains,
along with our shared principles and values.
rough Kappa Sigma we not only learned the
importance of friendship, knowledge, service,
morality, and excellence, but we acquired
valuable assets, which include leadership skills,
organizational skills, social skills, teamwork,
and character. Oentimes, these traits have
been integral to our personal success and helped
make us the men we are today.
e Kappa Sigma house is one of the focuses
for our Brothers. It has been a home away
from home for hundreds of young men and
a classroom where our Brothers have learned
fellowship, leadership, scholarship, and service.
rough time, the Chapter House has become
worn. erefore, if we wish for Kappa Sig to
continue its strong presence on the Baker
campus, we must ensure that we are providing
a safe, modern, and competitive facility. One
of the charges we are given as Brothers is to
believe that Kappa Sigma is not for a day, an
hour, or college term only, but for life. Now is
the appropriate time to secure a better future for
Kappa Sigma by creating a legacy for generations
yet to attend Baker University.
