As you know, Quartzsite is where "the sun comes out to play". So, it's 'playtime'. In the next edition I will cover our CASI-sanctioned Chili cook-off more we're calling the Tyson Wells Chili Shoot Out on February 28th. You'll start seeing the banners and posters all over town. In that same vein, I want to tell you more about more fun later that same day. At 3:30 pm the doors will open at the QIA for: Quartzsite Rotary presents "The Legends of Country Music" Trib- ute Show! One hour later you will see and hear America's Favorite Country Tribute for a 2-hour show. The Band's Leader, Larry King, developed this tribute covering over 20 of the most famous legend- ary Entertainers in Country Music. This band is also recognized as one of the best for 2014 in Mesa, AZ. The Legends will spotlight the music of the greats in country music with their biggest #1hits and over 40 of the most recognizable hit songs. Tidbits of information on the song or artist will add to this unique show. Along with the info, music, humor, and continu- ing a 25 year tradition of saluting our Military, you are going to enjoy this fast-paced Vegas style of show. These songs will be sung as they were originally recorded, they will not be impersonated. The musi- cians themselves have been with many of the legends highlighted in the show and are among the best west of Nashville! It's $20 per ticket of which 100% of the net profi ts go to helping those in need in Quartzsite, such as our local Food Bank, HS scholar- ships, and in servicing others in need, etc. Tickets are limited, so get them as soon as you can, fi rst- come, fi rst-served.
