I chatted nicely with him. He said he would credit my December bill with $70.00. Just got my bill. And he did credit my bill with $70.00. Dottie Palmer Brenda, AZ NEW COUNCIL: Checking the town website, I fi nd that the town has not updated email ad- dresses for contacting individual elect- ed members, so this is how I hope to contact them; I would like a response. Council members were elected to fi x the problems we have been fi ghting in Quartzsite the past 10 years. Please, do your job, check the records, fi nd out ''who, when, where, what and why.'' Inspect the documents. Our mayor is a Professional. Listen to him. Some of you are professionals. Use that knowl- edge to investigate. Remember: if they refuse to let you see the records, some- thing is wrong. What would you think if your employee refused to let you see the records of your company? Since the dismissal of our dismal police chief Jeff Gilbert, the town man- ager has been the interim police chief. It is disappointing that the new council wants to hire another unneeded expen- sive employee rather than delve into the records and fi x the problem. This town needs honest and open leadership to fi nd out what damage was done fi nancially to the taxpay- ers of Quartzsite. Open examination of all fi nancial records is needed for any changes. The Mayor's request to investigate and possibly convert police protection in Quartzsite to the La Paz Sheriff's Department should be heard. Hear the facts. This town has wasted so much tax- payer money the past administration is an embarrassment. Faulty record keeping due to one employee has led to Untold expenses. Missing records, altered records, falsifi ed records, the list is endless. I am reminded of the words of an older person with Conoco many years ago, "The problem with you young fellows is that you don't know what the problem is.'' He was right. Respectfully submitted.
