O'Neill, the former Navy SEAL credited with killing Usama bin Laden, will share his story at Isothermal Community College in January. "An Evening with Rob O'Neill" will be held at The Foundation Performing Arts and Conference Center on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by KCH Engineered Systems of Forest City. Tickets are available at foundationshows.org/shows/ rob-oneill.html. Seat prices range from $15 to $30. Net proceeds from the event will benefi t Isothermal Community College and Your Grateful Nation, an organization dedicated to helping Special Operations veterans transition to the workplace. One of the country's most highly decorated Navy SEAL combat veterans, O'Neill was involved in some of the nation's most strategic military campaigns and led the military's most elite. He is most noted for his involvement in the missions to kill Usama bin Laden and to rescue the Maersk Alabama from Somali pirates, which was recounted in the fi lm, "Captain Phillips." He was recently featured in a two-part feature interview on Fox News called "The Man who Killed Usama bin Laden." During the event at Isothermal, O'Neill will talk about those missions and more. He is also expected to answer some questions from the audience. Deploying more than a dozen times, O'Neill held combat leadership roles in more than 400 combat missions across four different theaters of war. After almost 17 years of service, O'Neill was honorably discharged in August 2012 as Team Leader with the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (also known as SEAL Team VI). During his remarkable career, O'Neill was decorated more than 52 times with honors. Some of his most notable military decorations include: two Silver Stars, four Bronze Stars with Valor, a Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor, three Presidential Unit citations and two Navy/Marine Corps Commendations with Valor.
