The morning turned into a pleasant golf outing with sun and a cool breeze. The only team to break 40 for the day was Gene Howard and Jerry Taylor who shot a round of 35. The Canadian pair of George Lische and Gary McGowan teamed up to earn 2nd place with a score of 40. There was a tie for 3rd place between the team of Harvey Gibson & Darryl Russell and Dino Linden and Russ Leininger as both teams fi red 41. Other winners included Pete Lilly who was closest to the pin on hole 8 and Bud Key who was closest to the pin on hole 9. Chester Henry had an awesome drive on hole 13 to win the long drive competition. If you enjoy desert golf, think about joining us for our next tournament, Thursday, Dec. 18 beginning at 9:00.
