After his many afternoon sugar-induced
comas, Santa loves to kick up his feet
and relax with a movie at the Cameo
Art House Theatre on Hay Street. He
settles in the red velvet-lined seats
(which he loves, of course) and enjoys
the many movies and shows the theatre
offers. He's been a frequent visitor of
the Gilbert Theatre, checking out their
production of A Christmas Carol, one
of his favorites. We all know Santa is a
sucker for children, so he's frequented
the Fascinate-U Children's Museum
regularly, all the while making his list
and checking it twice.
And when his pants get a little tight from
all the tasty food he's eaten (and his belly
is really shaking like a bowlful of jelly),
he likes working up a sweat by doing
yoga and exercising at the many gyms
downtown. He even enjoys rock climbing
and keeping his skills sharp, in case he
has to scale a chimney on December
25th.
Santa can't resist the holiday lights at
the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. All of
the beautiful plants covered in twinkling
lights and the festive Christmas music
put Santa in the Christmas spirit! He even
made new friends touring the garden
and almost got in trouble for eating the
outdoor Gingerbread House. Oops.
Want to see Santa this holiday season? If
you don't see him in and out of the shops
or sipping hot cocoa at a local café, you
can fi nd him on Dec. 20-21 downtown for
Carriage Rides with Santa! Bring the kids
for an afternoon of Christmas fun.
And as New Year's Eve creeps closer,
make sure you check our Facebook page
for updates about where to spend the
evening with the ones you love. Who
knows? Maybe Santa will stick around
Fayetteville to ring in the New Year!
