We're moving forward and growing despite the lack of an undergraduate chapter. Reunion 2014 was a huge success. Prior to our annual meeting, we initiated our newest alumni brothers in a ceremony in the Temple. During our annual meeting, Brother James Zagarelli '09, a captain in the USMC, gave a moving speech and presented the brotherhood with a beautiful plaque and decorative case holding an American flag he flew in Marjah District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan on July 4, 2011, and which he dedicated to Mu DKE. As a recognized Colgate University alumni organization, we continue to enthusiastically welcome new alumni members into our ranks. Our new alumni members learn our history and share our traditions and ideals. We grow as an alumni organization every year because we are an active group that connects alumni to Colgate and each other. It is clear Mu of DKE presents an attractive option for eligible alumni. This is an amazing accomplishment considering our most recent undergraduate brothers graduated in 2007. We look forward to initiating the 155th class of Mu of DKE at next year's reunion. During our annual meeting, I encouraged our alumni to engage Colgate in positive ways to help us move closer to our goal of a recognized undergraduate chapter. Please take advantage of opportunities to volunteer in alumni leadership positions. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or thoughts regarding Mu and Colgate. It is hard to believe, but we are fast approaching our 160th anniversary in 2016! In the Bonds, Sean F. HELP WRITE OUR HISTORY I n preparation for our 160th anniversary, the Foundation is attempting to complete our much-anticipated history: 150 Years of Mu of DKE. Much of the work has already been done, but we need an individual brother to take point on this project and see it through to its completion. The Foundation is willing to compensate a brother for his time and/or recognize his work as an in-kind donation. If you would like to take up this important project, please reach out to Sean. Thank you! The Foundation Needs Your Help
