FOOD ON SITE! By Joanne Winer Oops!! I forgot someone!! When I wrote the article about the Quartzsite Business Cham- ber re-opening and thanked all the people who helped, I forgot to mention one very special per- son. He is a very quiet man, very professional and very patient and knowledgeable about computers, and he just started his business here in Quartzsite. He heard that the chamber offi ce was destroyed when the building roof blew off, and called and offered to come in and check out the computers and see what we needed to get them up and running and programmed again. We were at a total loss and he saved the day. I apologize to Harry Orr of Quartzsite WiFi for not including him in the thank yous, it was not intentional but you need to know how much we appreciated what you did for us. Sorry about my error, I thought I had everyone listed but I guess not. Thanks again for all your help. If anyone needs computer help, call him at 927-5592, or email support@quartzsitewifi .com and he will do a great job for you like he did for us--Joanne Winer, Quartzsite Business Chamber Oops I forgot someone! Correction Notice by Shanana Rain Golden-Bear There was an error in the article pub- lished on page 3 of November 5th, 2014 Desert Messenger, titled, "Under Sheriff slapped with injunction against harassment order". The article stated, "The complaint alleges Irwin threat- ened to injure or even kill her." Howev- er, the sentence should have read, "the plaintiff alleged in her complaint, 'most of the people Irwin has pointed me out to have threatened to injure me or even kill me.'" I apologize for the inconve- nience this may have caused. The arti- cle focused on Under Sheriff/Jail Com- mander Larry Irwin being served an Injunction Against Harassment, which the Sheriff's offi ce sat on for 2 weeks before the judge asked Constable Starr BearCat to serve the papers. According to Larry Irwin's attorney, Michelle Mo- linario, "nowhere in the article is there any mention of Commander Irwin's co- operation with the Court and his volun- tarily waiver of service." However, this was not in the documents obtained by Desert Messenger. I wish to thank the Law Firm of Jones, Skelton and Hochu- li, L.P.C. for bringing this to my atten- tion and apologize for the error.
