Mu Chapter Strand of Pearls 2 Mu Chapter Focuses on Chapter Goals Numerous Philanthropy and Sisterhood Events in the Works Strengthening Our Bonds This school year, we would like to continue our goal of improving alumnae/chapter relations. We are inspired by all of the alumnae who have stopped by the house since the school year began. We welcome any AEPhi alumna to come visit because it is always a pleasure to walk through the halls of our house and share memories. Improving Relations One of our goals this year is to improve relations with other sororities and have an event with a "Pan-pal," another sorority within the Panhellenic community. We have an outing scheduled to go to the new Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt on campus with another sorority, and we are hoping this will be the start of a new tradition. Excelling in Academics We are proud to have earned the third highest GPA among sororities in the spring and are implementing a new system for study hours. We are hopeful this system will encourage members to keep scholarship as one of our top priorities. Supporting Others The new changes to our philanthropy system have been successful and allowed Mu to be involved in numerous service events. By creating teams of participants at the beginning of the semester and assigning them to philanthropy events, members were able to bond while having fun and supporting good causes. We hosted the second annual Phaceoff with the Phis floor hockey tournament in October. With the help of the rest of the Greek community, we were able to continue our support of Sharsheret. We are already looking forward to our color run in the spring semester to support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation! Sisterhood Events Our members have continued to take full advantage of the outstanding sisterhood activities that are scheduled once a week. Some of the exciting events have included a spa night at the house, a trip to Curtis Orchard and Pumpkin Patch, and an outing to Hardy's Reindeer Ranch. These are highly anticipated events, and we are excited to grow our sisterhood with our fantastic new members.
