Over the last three years, the Foundation has awarded grants and scholarships to Delta Chi and its undergraduates totaling over $1.1 million and benefiting more than 1,300 undergraduates. It is because of your generous donations that we are able to continue this important work. Congratulations to all of our 2014 scholarship winners, and thank you to all of our donors for supporting these great programs. Words of Gratitude from Scholarship Recipients UIFI Scholarship Nicholas Ohl, Northwestern '16 "I would not have been able to attend UIFI without the DCEF scholarship. UIFI, one of the best experiences I've had in Delta Chi, allowed me to become a better leader. At a recent chapter brotherhood retreat that I led, we did two exercises based on what I learned at UIFI. I received positive feedback and know the retreat wouldn't have been as successful without the leadership skills gained at UIFI. Thank you to the Foundation for providing the opportunity to grow as a leader and improve my chapter through this scholarship." Robert Rinehart, East Stroudsburg '15 "The DCEF scholarship helped me to grow as a leader and be the IFC president, the Order of Omega president, and the brother everyone needed me to be. This experience changed me for the better and allowed me to see what I want to do next— mentor students. This experience was eye- opening and I couldn't have done it without the DCEF Scholarship." Washburn Scholarship Jordan Avery, Georgia Tech '15 "I was honored to win the Washburn Scholarship because it is something tangible that shows I have accomplished my goal of giving back to Delta Chi. Delta Chi has brought so much to me, and I've tried my best to give back. I know my giving back doesn't end when I graduate; I plan to keep giving through the years." Finn MacLeod, Windsor '15 "As a student who works multiple jobs with a full course load, the Washburn Scholarship provided a much-needed opportunity to focus on my studies without financial stress. Words cannot express my gratitude for the instrumental leadership training opportunities I have had through DCEF financial and educational scholarships. I would not have been able to achieve my full potential as a student leader and active brother. I look forward to the day when I can contribute to the success of undergraduate Delta Chi men through DCEF." Borelli Family Leadership Award Christopher Gross, Truman State '15 "I am honored to have received this award. Delta Chi has given me more than I would have ever expected. It has developed me as a man and given me the life skills I will need after graduation. The award is meaningful to me because it will help me remember everything that Delta Chi has done for me." Shawyan Moosavi, Sacramento State '15 "Receiving this scholarship was helpful to me because it's really relevant to what I do on campus as Interfraternity Council president at Sacramento State. It's meaningful to me because Delta Chi and the Interfraternity Council are two things I'm extremely passionate about."
