The Cape Fear Botanical Garden is getting into the spirit of the season
with a variety of events and activities that will ignite your creativity and
help you with your Christmas shopping.
Wine & Whimsy Painting
Set aside a relaxing and creative
evening before the exciting and
frenzied holiday pace begins. Come
for a fun date night or a girl's
night out. A canvas, paint, brushes,
palette, an easel and instruction
will be provided. Wine is available
for purchase by the glass or bottle
along with beer selections to
enjoy while painting your holiday
ornament masterpiece.
The event is on Thursday, Nov. 20
from 6 to 7 p.m. Cost of the event
is $20 per member; $25 for non-
member. Limited to 16 attendees.

Garden Gift Shop Holiday Open
House
Enjoy wonderful shopping while
sampling treats amid beautiful
surroundings. From gardening
gadgets, books and toys to beautiful ornaments, locally made treats and
pottery, you're sure to find a few holiday gifts — perhaps something for
yourself, too! Placed in the garden's signature bag with tissue and some
ribbons, your purchases will be ready to put under the tree! Garden
members receive a 10 percent discount. A garden membership also makes
a wonderful gift for the whole family and it lasts a full year! The gift shop
holiday shopping event is Nov. 21, 22
and 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Holiday Wreath Chandelier
Workshop
Assemble and adorn your perfect
holiday wreath chandelier; if you
prefer you can make a classic door
wreath instead. Wreath forms,
bountiful greenery, natural berries,
pods and cones, ribbon and hanging
materials are all included in the
price of the workshop. Additional
embellishments can be purchased in
the gift shop to further enhance your
creation. Workshops are ongoing
Nov. 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
and Nov. 23 from noon to 4 p.m. You
can come anytime during these set
hours, but please allow yourself no
less than an hour and a half.
The workshop costs $30 for
members, $35 for non-members.
