The old building was so damaged from the rain and winds that it was totally unusable, and at fi rst it was not known whether there would ever be another busi- ness chamber offi ce right away. Thanks to Jean Winters from Shady Lane, who came in to see what happened and learned that there was not enough funds to buy another building, the chamber was saved. She called a friend, former business owner Patty Lamb, who had an offi ce trailer sitting on her lot at the east end of town, and when Patty heard about the cham- ����� | S������ �� D����� M�������� ber losing its building, she very generously donated this building to the Business Chamber and it is now offi cially re-opened after a lot of work and time getting it ready. The Business Chamber would like to thank so many people who came forward when they didn't know what they were going to do to get it back up and running. First of all, thanks to the fi refi ghters who came right away and pulled a tarp over where the roof used to be and stopped the rain from coming in any more than it already had. A lot of the pockets on the walls were fi lled with fl yers and schedules, maps, etc. and everything was too wet to save.
