September 7, 2011 LETTERS FROM PAGE 4 that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Our forefathers fought, and died, for it. My father, and now my husband, put their lives on the line for it. Just who in the hell does Wes Huntley think he is? If he doesn't like the way the tide is rolling in Quartzsite, there are other places that would be more suited to his curious ideas of United States citizenship and democracy. Cuba, China, Libya and the list goes on. We have three shores, a border to our North and a nearly endless choice in airlines. He is welcome to take any of them one way. Because I'm here to tell you not standing in the way of, or enabling, the people committing these acts of disregard will not stop them from taking that stroll over your rights, too. Glenda LaHaye Proud Army Wife and Citizen Quartzsite growth Mike recently had someone tell him that Quartzsite was dying.
