DDD Crescent News Delta Xi Chapter at the University of Missouri Fall 2014 CAMPAIGN GOAL EXTENDED: $1 Million in Honor of 100 Years of Delta Xi Help Us Increase Alumnae Participation from 17% to 25% T hank you to all alumnae who have generously contributed to the Building for Another 100 Years capital campaign! I am thrilled to report that we have reached our fundraising goal for the renovation project. Thanks to the generosity of 385 Delta Xi sisters and friends, we have raised $850,000! We all know that Tri Deltas not only achieve all goals, but exceed them. The campaign board has decided to continue with this positive momentum and strive for a new objective: $1 million in honor of 100 years of Delta Xi. Next April, our chapter turns 100 years old. What better way to commemorate this milestone than to continue with our capital campaign and raise an additional $150,000, resulting in $1 million raised—the most of any sorority at the University of Missouri. The money we raise from this point on will go toward the debt remaining on the Chapter House, specifically the mortgage. In order to place our chapter in the best financial position possible, it is essential we reduce our debt and not leave this burden upon the shoulders of our undergraduate members. Although we are excelling in dollars raised, we are lacking in participation. The average participation among Greek campaigns is 25%. To date, 385, or 17%, of our membership has made a commitment. If 165 more sisters contributed, we would reach this average. Are you among the 2,174 active alumnae whose name is not yet on our donor list? If so, don't delay! We need participation from every Delta Xi sister to meet our goal. Let's bring honor and glory to Tri Delta by claiming an even higher number of alumnae supporting the project. I hope you will consider a gift using the enclosed envelope. Every amount is appreciated and important. For those who have already contributed, I ask that you consider adding a sixth year to your pledge schedule or increasing your gift by 20%. It is truly a humbling and amazing feeling to receive donations from alumnae everywhere and of all generations who generously continue to support Delta Xi. There are so many opportunities to give of your financial resources so we understand the significance of your decision to give back to Tri Delta. Thank you again and I hope fond memories of great friends and wonderful experiences encourage all our alumnae to give.
