Vickers, age 61, of H e n r i e t t a , NC, passed a w a y M o n d a y , October 13, 2014. Born November 1, 1952 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Charles "Doc" Wyatt and the late Barbara Louise Wyatt. She worked for Cone Mills for seventeen years and was a self-employed c o s m e t o l o g i s t / b e a u t i - cian for most of her life. She also worked for the Carolina House as a resi- dent assistant for several years and recently was employed by Rutherford Regional Medical Center as an emergency room housekeeper. Barbara was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church and enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, going to the beach and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her father, survivors include her husband of forty-four years, Rodger Vickers; daughter, Tracy Vickers; son David Vickers and wife, Nikki all of Henrietta; two brothers, Michael Wyatt and wife, Francine of Utah and Mark Wyatt of Ellenboro; three grandchildren, Jesika Vickers, Breanna Vassey, Ryan McDaniel and five great-grandchil- dren, Kyleigh Vickers, Kolten Poland, Makenzie McDaniel, Aiden Parris and Maddox Wyatt. Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Butler officiat- ing. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043. Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family. CLENTICE CHEEVES FOLDS Clentice Cheeves Folds, 90, of Mooresboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. A native of Carroll County, Georgia, she was born on February 23, 1924, a daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Cheeves. She was a retired Seamstress and a charter member of Lowell Congregational Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she is preced- ed in death by her sis- ters, Bertie Lee Cheeves and Viola Mashburn. She is survived by her son, Charles W. Folds of Carrollton, GA; two daughters, Elaine Austin and husband Lloyd of Mooresboro and Linda S. Miller of Stockbridge, GA; her grandchildren, John T. Copeland, Jimmy Copeland, Bradley Austin, Chris Folds and Candy Denney; 11 great grand- children and 3 great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Mrs. Folds's Life was held at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel, 1312 Park Sreet, Carrollton, GA 30117. Burial followed in the Carroll Memory Gardens, 914 Stripling Chapel Road, Carrollton, GA 30116. RALEIGH EUGENE "GENE" BYERS Raleigh Eugene "Gene" Byers, age 79, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Raleigh Byers and Ethlene Bradley Byers. He was a mem- ber and past master of Cliffside Masonic Lodge 460 A.F. & A.M., and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Forest City. Mr. Byers retired as a transmission line supervisor with Duke Power Company after forty years of service and enjoyed fishing, racing and going to the farm. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his mother-in- law, Mary A. Kimbrell and his brother-in law, Monnie Wilkie. Survivors include his wife, Anna K. Byers of the home; daughters, Debbie Kelly and husband Gary of Greenville, SC, Barbara Byers of Charlotte, and Beverly Byers of Forest City; son, Terry Byers and wife Susan of Forest City; sisters, Joyce McCurry and husband of Hobert of Simpsonville, Francis Wilkie and Betty Byers, both of Forest City; broth- ers, Bruce Byers and Joe Byers of Forest City; grandchildren, Chris Kelly of Greenville, SC, Randy Upton. Jr., Charlie Upton, and Summer Byers, all of Forest City; and two great grandchildren, Trey Upton of Forest City and Rylan Kelly of Greenville, SC. Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
