Bloodgood '50 W e recently lost an Indiana Beta leader in Brother Donald A. Bloodgood '50. All who knew him would say he was the consummate True Gentleman. In 1950, Don was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army and was inducted into the Purdue ROTC Hall of Fame in 1996. He took his leadership skills gained from the Army and applied them to his volunteer activities. Don was involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over 70 years. He earned the Eagle Scout rank in 1943 and was awarded the Silver Beaver in 1966. He had been a member of the Sagamore Council BSA Executive Board since 1981. Additionally, he served on the SAE House Corporation for many years, including a stint as its president. He also served as the Purdue 1951 class president for more than 60 years. After the Army, Don worked for Ross Gear and Tool Company (later TRW) from 1953 to 1994, retiring as director of manufacturing services. Don is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, JoAnn; brother, Thomas W. Bloodgood '55; and three grown children: David, Daniel, and Elizabeth. Brother John Coulson '61 noted, "I was very saddened when I learned of Don's passing in church. I looked forward to seeing him every Sunday as I followed him as a past treasurer of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Chapter House Corporation. He has been honored many times by his fraternity and I have a lot of respect for him." O ur sincerest thank-you goes to these brothers who contributed to our spring 2014 annual campaign. Together, these donors gave $8,795. Your dedication to SAE Purdue is appreciated and helps us continue to improve our programming for undergraduates and alumni alike. Donors are listed in their lifetime annual campaign giving level. If an error has been made in recording your gift, or your name has been mistakenly omitted or listen improperly, we sincerely apologize. Please send corrections to Bob Parrin '72 at bobparrin@aol.com. Thank you, again, for giving back to the chapter—it truly does make a difference! Generous Alumni, Thank You!
