The Halloween Caravan has been changed to the Halloween Walk. On Friday, October 31st there will be a HALLOWEEN WALK from the Community Center to Town Hall. At the Community Center, there will be games, free hot dogs for the kids, cos- tume contest with lots of categories and prizes and more. Kids will then be Trick-or-Treating along the Walking Path on E. Quail Trail, lined with local businesses, orga- nizations and groups. The Halloween Walk ends at Town Hall for the ever- popular Haunted House. 4:30 pm Community Center - Kids Games & Costume Contest with Prizes, Free Hot Dogs for Kids. 5:30 pm Trick or Treating along the Haunted Walking Path from Commu- nity Center to Town Hall. 6:00- 8:00 pm Haunted House at Town Hall. Changes to Quartzsite Halloween event The public is encouraged to come on down and see all the kids in costume. You can park along the street on E. Quail Trail, in the parking lot at the Commu- nity Center or at Town Hall. Businesses, Organizations, RV Parks and Groups are encouraged to partici- pate. You can set up a "station" (Table, Traditional Trunk or Treat, Booth, Themed Spooky Scene, etc.) in one of three locations: outside the Communi- ty Center, along the decorated walking path on E. Quail Trail, or at Town Hall. If you'd like to volunteer, contact Carol Kelley at 928-785-7187. If your busi- ness organization or RV Park would like to join the fun, contact Rain at 928- 916-4235. Come on down to the BOO-LAVARD for some GHOUL- ISH fun! Las Casas de Quartzsite apartments will be having trick or treating beginning at 7:00 pm on October 31st. Units that will be passing out candy will have lighted milk jugs on the porch. At the offi ce, there will be a list of units participating. Over the past few weeks a series of thefts political adver- tising signs, which have disappeared from locations around Quartzsite. Authori- ties are asking for your help in recovering the stolen property. A $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest & conviction of any person or persons responsible for Theft/Destruction of Political Candidates' property. It is a class 2 misdemeanor for any person to knowingly remove, alter, deface or cover any political sign of any candidate for public offi ce.
