Lambda: Proud Past — Promising Future To Make Better Men AGR Lambda Chapter Educational Foundation P.O. We enjoyed hosting Founder's Day at the house, as it gave us the chance to show off the completed work. This summer over 60% of the Chapter had a professional internship, while others took classes, studied abroad, or returned home to the farm. Everyone seemed to enjoy their summers preparing themselves for their career in agriculture. SCHOLARSHIP Last spring, the Chapter achieved a G.P.A. of 3.29 thanks to the hard work of all our members, and especially to the seven brothers who made the Dean's List, placing us 5th on campus. We have proven in the last couple of years to be consistent in the area of academics, something I am always proud to share. RECRUITMENT I'm also pleased to report our current recruitment efforts. In the first week of class, we initiated nine new brothers. We are continuing to receive accepted bids and will have at least two more initiations in the upcoming months. These new members will go through an in-depth brotherhood program. At the end of the program, they will know much about AGR and its history, as well as receive education in areas of risk management, time management, goal setting, and much more. MENTORSHIP PROGRAM An AGR mentorship program began this year by matching board members with our executive team. After a successful spring, we will extend this program to all alumni and undergraduates. This year we hope to match our new members with alumni based on interests to help support them through their undergraduate career and beyond. Please contact Graham Ambrose '13 at ambro034@umn.edu or me to become involved. PHILANTHROPY We are looking forward to our philanthropy week, Alpha Gamma Rhodeo. We will host several events over the three days, concluding with a mechanical bull riding competition. This will be a great opportunity to raise money for philanthropy, show off the new house, and engage with the entire Greek community. Please feel free to reach out to me with any thoughts, questions, or potential new members.
