Dr. Hodge spoke of his great experience as a Beta parent—their son, Gene, joined the Beta Omega chapter at the University of Washington—and the fantastic relationship he's experienced while here at Miami. Dr. Hodge addressed the chapter's recent departure from campus and noted that he anxiously awaits Beta's return and expects Beta to once again set an example for all fraternities to follow. General Fraternity Launches ChapterSpot Launched at the 175th General Convention this summer, the house company will use ChapterSpot for its new chapter website at www.miamioh.beta.org and to receive new electronic alumni news submissions. If you have an update to share, login to the ChapterSpot alumni portal at http://chapterspot.beta.org. Not only can you update all alumni, but you can easily reach out to one another to catch up on old friendships. Every Alpha brother has access to both ChapterSpot and my.beta.org to find contact information for our brothers. Oxford welcomed home Beta members for the 175th. Unveiling the 175th commemorative Jeff Newton '77 "To whom much is given, of him much is expected." As a proud member of the Alpha Chapter of Beta Theta Pi, I feel a responsibility and duty to give back to our Great and Good Fraternity by being a part of the recoloniza- tion of the Alpha Chap- ter and restore it to its former glory. Bill Haywood '74 "I want the Alpha Chap- ter of Beta Theta Pi to shine again. I think of all the wonderful expe- riences my Beta associ- ation has afforded me over the years and the fact that our chapter needs our help now. I have not done enough over the past years and I want to pledge my support now at this critical time to help those Beta Stars shine again." Thoughts From The Steering Committee BQP
